Mondegreen
According to the the NYTimes Magazine
A modegreen is a misheard lyric... It is named after Lady Mondegreen. There was no Lady Mondegreen. The lines of a ballad, "They hae slain the Earl of Murray,/And laid him on the green" are misheard as "They hae slain the Earl of Murray and Lady Mondegreen."
Mondegreen is the favorite word of one of the lexicographers of the Oxford English Dictionary.

Oft I sing for my friends,
When death's cold pharmacy
When I reach my journey's end
Tell me who will sing for me
Doen't make a lot of sense, but it's a strong image, death's cold pharmacy with tile floors and flourescent lights and way too much air conditioning and endless shelves of pills in white plastic jars without labels.
Turns out it's actually, "When death's cold form I see." Oh, well.
