The photos I took quickly as I was leaving don't do justice to the thoroughly psychedelic decor of the store.  Every surface has beads, rhinestones, something glued to it or a colorful cover of some sort.

Kassav' has a new CD All U Need is Zouk and it came out a couple of days ago on iTunes.  I was so happy to hear about it I went right to iTunes to buy it.  Unfortunately it's only iTunes France and the iTunes people say I have to have a French address and a French credit card to buy from them.  What a pain!  I'm  really annoyed.  I have requested that iTunes add the cd. 

Update: today I noticed that iTunes did finally add it.  But my husband found it on emusic first and bought it for me there!  iTunes, you had your chance!

A friend invited me to join Shelfari, which is a social networking site focused on books.  Amazon is a major investor.  I got to this page and just have to gripe about it.

It is difficult composing sentences with dynamic parts, and Shelfari may be trying to localize this for other languages, but give me a break!  This is for a literary site?

I did  a test on the iPhone with some basic  markup and CSS  and discovered a bug.  The second div is floated.  To recreate the bug do these steps:

1. load http://salzerdesign.com/test/iphone7.htm in portrait
2. turn iPhone to landscape
3. double tap to make the page resize
4. reload

Note the extra second div.

The new cd/album/whatever will have one song with lots of remixes.  On the one hand I often really like remixes.  On the other hand, I think more than 3 remixes is just indecisive.  At some point the artists should focus and make some choices so we don't have to weed though every thing.
