Big "Thank You" to my parents who campaigned for Obama by being precinct captains and going door to door, making phone calls, and even traveling to another state to volunteer! A big thank you to everyone else who volunteered!
Right now we don't know how the California propositions will turn out. Hopefully they will have an equally happy ending! A big thank you to that woman this morning standing in front of a church with a "No on 8" sign next to a crowd of people with "Yes on 8" signs.
Here's some party music.
That's what my kids say when I ask them do do a chore.
Me: Could you please set the table?
Kid: I'll do it as soon as I die.
Me: How long will that take?
Kid: This level is pretty hard, a couple of minutes.
Me: OK.

I guess it's common on the internet to dynamically update the year in copy write notices so that it's always the current year to keep the site from looking "out of date". I like the way Vox does it,
What I don't understand is the value inVox © 2003-2008 Six Apart, Ltd. All Rights Reserved.
© Example, <current year> Inc. All Rights Reserved.
To me, you make something at a certain time and that is when you have a copy write date. If you keep adding to it then you could have the dates be a span with the first date static and the second date dynamic. It seems like the example makes the whole process meaningless. I am not a lawyer, so maybe someone out there can explain this to me.
I think I might start ©ing things in the future, before I think of them.
Champagne for my real friends and real pain for my sham friends
An article by Steve Lohr in the New York Times today said,
In an industry survey, a majority of technology companies candidly said they would not hire anyone over 40.
I was aware of this attitude, but am shocked that so many would openly admit to their discrimination. I'm only 25 years old so it doesn't affect me yet, but I hope this age-ism will change very soon!
